Railway Memories 18 Cleveland & Whitby

In Railway Memories No. 18 we revisit Cleveland's railways as we remember them in the 1950s and 60s - when they still went to such places as Guisborough, Boosbeck and beyond Boulby along the cliff tops to Whitby, when Stokesley was on a through route from Whitby to Stockton and when the area shuddered to the weight of something like 500 goods trains every 24 hours, some of them still bringing ironstone down from the last mines to the furnaces of Teesside.
